Took the EGR Valve off on the weekend - not as clogged up as some i've seen on threads but a fair amount of soot in there. Cleaned it all out with some carb cleaner and cotton buds - spotless :-)
However! All seemed fine at first, drove the car about 30 miles, all warmed up and no revving. but on short drive from work a few days later it started again, not as pronounced as it was but definitely still present.
Any ideas? Could it be the DPF, any way I can force a regen? No warning lights but read a few things suggesting it
To give you a background of driving habits, my daily commute from home to office is 3 miles but I do about 120 miles of motorway driving a week too - is enough to do a regen?
