yeah it's a hoary subject isn't it and frankly when a tyre is over 200 odd quid you'll go for the cheapest of the three choices won't you?
On the back I've had Contact 3's for about 10k and they've got 7-8mm on them, on the front I have a P Zero and an Accelera, both on for about 15k and they are both worn about the same but really need to be changed ASAP. The Accelera slip - no question, the P Zero's grip really well but the wear has been identical (there is a month in age between them - punctured an Accelera; P Zero's all round before).
The Conti's are good though, perform well on the grip front and wear is good; I'll let you know how they wear on the front in about 3 months when I've covered 5-6000 miles...
I'm thinking about getting a 4 wheel alignment to help them out a bit too though so that might throw an anomaly into the results!
