Since I upgraded the brakes and suspension, I light mine up on the entry to most roundabouts.

You get used to it eventually :P

It's linked to the brake assist, if that is triggered, so are the hazards

i've found if you hit the brake pedal normally and increase pressure it's less likely to trigger. Also, road conditions also play a role. If one or more wheels lose grip it will trigger. So on bumpy surface, in the rain, very quick braking (brake assist) and when turning severely while braking. Also when the ASR needs to kick in (braking hard around tight curves). Learn your way around it. It is also less likely to trigger with more grippy tires that maintain even deceleration rates, more likely with stiffer suspension that could bump over a rough surface.

I had my car on the tail of a well driven GT up and down a long, twisty mountain pass (11km in total) and didn't trigger it once although managed to drift the car sideways through some nice corners because of managing to get similar amounts of slip on all four tires (also something that can be easily learned. Looks and feels good but is hard on your expensive rubber).
