159 2.4 engine fan speed 1 relay (radiator)
I cannot locate the ENGINE FAN SPEED 1 RELAY (RADIATOR) J030 o my 159 2.4 jtdm.
My 1st speed radiator fan cannot be triggered using fiat ecu scan.
My initial problem is related to the thermostat witch I have to change(temp lowers when not under load and rises when on load but never passes 90 C - both on gauge and ECU reading).
Until I changed that I have made some investigation.
1. Both fans work at second speed
2. The thermal resistors in the radiator shroud are OK (0.25 ohms both) with no corrosion
3. Relays in engine fuse box are OK.
I have seen on elearn that there is a third relay - ENGINE FAN SPEED 1 RELAY (RADIATOR) J030 - that is mounted somewhere near the radiator. I cannot find the wiring or that relay in order to see if this is the problem.
So if someone knows what I have to dismantle to get to that relay I appreciate it!
P.S. If the relay is not the problem then could it be the wiring witch I guess not or the ECU playing dumb.
