Towbar fitting issues
Went to the dealer today to get the Westfalia towbar fitted on my 2011 159 Sportwagon.... doesn't fit.
The problem is that the instructions show two cutout - where we were expecting one large cutout.
The first cutout is the main hole for the vertical fit, detachable towbar to fit through, and the electric socket goes to the left of that (which we were going to move anyway).
However, the template and instructions show a second cutout higher up the bumper and on the top of the rear bumper detail - looking totally pants.
It appears this cutout is to allow the angled metal brackets to go through the bumper.
The other images I have of a Westfalia detachable towbar do not have this hole. Have they changed the design?
Anyway, between me, the fitters and the dealer we decided it was crap and held off fitting it.
Any suggestions as to why this differs to other peoples Sportwagon towbars?
Oh... box of wheel nuts under the spare wheel... thats what the rattle was!!!
