Hubby had an S60 in blue with cream/black leather...and what fun THAT was on the motorway. Legally of course!

To be fair, the new Volvos seem to be pretty decent cars - had an XC70 ire car with loads of options for a week in the Netherlands and it was very capable. Shocking handling though, waaaay too much body roll! Still, they're not built for throwing round corners!

I'm definitely sticking with the Brera for a while though!

I'm only 5'2" and my 15 yr old teenager fits behind me, so if we go out with passenger I have to drive - not really a hardship! My other half is 6' though so no legged kids on that side... However you may be interested to know that I often carry a 3/4 size (the adult size) of Double Bass around in my Brera. Yes, I have to fold the whole back seat doen (the 1/2 size one only needed half the seat down) but at least it goes in ..only just, but just is fine!

The Brera's boot is deceptively capacious.

Alfaless :( BMW!

The Brera boot is a good size only issue is the high lip.

I found mine fine and practical enough for us - nobody could sit behind me but mostly ok as we are a family of three. Done a 2700 mile fully laden trip from central scotland to paris then down to south of france and back. Was great
