If you stuck an 06 2.2 next to an 09 2.2 there would be zero difference on the exterior. None.
The 'facelift' was internal and on the suspension, but there is no difference in ride height.
Some Breras look much much much better than others and this is because the car suits certain alloy wheel styles, (18 and 19 8C style and Horseshoe make it look beefy and masculine) whilst the 17s and wirespokes do not look as hot on the car.
Colour also makes a difference, and even the wheel colour. For example, a red Brera with anthracite wheels manages to transform the look of the car over one with silver alloys, whether it look better or not is a matter of opinion, but it certainly changes the look.
But the model year plays no part in the look. At all.
