I believe the strange behavior of the turbo guage is due to the variable geomatry turbo fitted to the 159, As none of the other Turbo cars I have owned have done this, they all show a vacume on tick over as well as negative boost before reaching zero and then on to read positive boost. The VGT turbo can spin up faster which cuts lag. But I have noticed on my car boost when coasting and on cruising no other turbo car I have owned has ever done that before. The wastegate seems to opperate diferently on alfa 159? hence the diference, My other cars had an aftermarket boost guage fitted, It was a Racetech guage cost about £80 so was of reasonable quality and fairly accurate , the hose was damped correctly to stop needle flutter. I should have kept the guage but let it go on the last car I was to lazy to remove it lol.
