159 2.4 Auto

Hmmm Novice Advice

Hi There, my 2.4 -159 auto has a nasty habit of switching on the full air-con when the outside conditions are wet / damp, or in particularly when raining. Is this correct??

Also the I have owned the car since July and the air-con stinks, Ive tried the "on full heat" for 30 mins + the Comma Aircon Cleaner from Halfords for 12 but no joy.

Is there anything else DIY I can do or is it a bit specialised :

The aircon will be used to demist (or prevent misting).
Have you replaced the pollen filter?

FYI, the A/C cleaner/treatment should be used after you have removed the old filter but before you fit the new one.

The Comma stuff is c**p. Use Forte, which you can get off fleabay. It works fine even with a new pollen filter fitted.
