Quick Tracking/Tyre question
Since I got my 159 in June it's been feeling like it's pulling slightly left
Now I initially thought it was tyre pressures/tracking, so first thing was setting the pressures 39 front 37 rear (just based on what others say on the forum, slightly higher than book)
But that didn't really solve it, so I phoned the dealer and they had it in and said all the geometry was fine. They said it is normal for a car with big wheels to follow the camber of the road more severely, now I'm obviously not an expert so does that seem normal?
Reason I ask is it's still doing it, and I can't figure out if it is just the camber or what. I try to drive in the middle of the road straddling the lines when I can to test it. In those case I can see the camber isn't severe, but letting go of the wheel it pulls gradually left then obviously speeds up in this pull until you need to straighten it (or die)
I had this kind of problem before a few years back with my focus, ended up costing me 2 new tyres as they had worn unevenly. So I guess my Q is, does it sound like a tracking issue? (pressures are checked every weekend, so seems likely)
If so, I was going to take it to Mclennans in Edinburgh as they seem highly rated here, bit of a drive though so need to make it worth it. Could this be due to the 159's setup from the factory or something? I vaguely remember reading people have a different setting applied (again no idea how this is done) which reduces wear or something, does this affect handling/ride?
Thanks for any help, I really want to avoid 2 new £250 tyres because the tracking is actually out
