Thanks a lot for the answer!
EGR deleted? I've been thinking about it, I gues I could only know downloading the map from the ECU
but it still does actuate, seen ONLY by FES BTW, time to time giving a 30-70% erratically, all the other software sees only constant 3.9% maybe 4% (rounding I guess)
I had the car for a year and the problems appeared after the turbo went (145000 KM aprox. ) , 2 months ago
since the incident , the car has never been the same again, with the exception of what I blame as a placebo effect after replacing the MAF just after the turbo "recon".
When the EGR was out was clearly, very dirty. not that it matters now that is blocked. But I'm guessing the same 3/4 mm coat of soot should be matching the intake internals.
Indeed there is diverse opinions on what this flaps do, and from all the explanations I found I like the BMW specialist the best. but it doesn't mean they are meant to do exactly the same in this engine.
Agreed about the intake manifold clean up first before swapping out for a new one
but... I think I might be loosing pressure, as the missing low end power is accompanied with an error code at the of TOP rpm when the engine is at high load
P0237: Turbo/Super Charger Boost Sensor "A" Circuit Low
Engine Load = 99.216 %
Engine Coolant Temperature = 74 °C
Intake Manifold Pressure = 36.84 psi
Engine RPM = 4,259 rpm
Speed (OBD) = 101 km/h
Intake Air Temperature = 30 °C
Mass Air Flow Rate = 115.28 g/s
Fuel Rail Pressure = 14,779.346 psi
the low signal and the pressure on the freeze frame do not make sense , so I guess It could be also just the sensor. As its taking about signal not boost. ... it looks more like over boosting to me , but the ECU says the opposite.
I've also done all the actuators test, and at eye sight everything seems to be OK , even the VGT solenoid actuator, ( measuring -20psi vacuum) , with exception of the evident broken flaps rod.
As you see my car right now is kind of a mess? , and I have to say , still taking me down the highway at km/h, not as happy as before and perhaps not as quieter, its sounds more "diesel" now. But still moving.... its driveable.
I think I'm reaching the acceptance phase by now
, I hope all this ends well , is taking the fun of driving out, But I'm learning a lot about turbo diesels, and that good too , as I think they are here to stay ...
