Hi - I'm new to this site (and being an Alfa owner), so apologies if this is duplicating a thread somewhere else!
So, I'm delighted with my 57 reg 159 Sportswagon which I bought from an Alfa dealer a few months back and is still under warranty.
I do appear to have an intermittent issue with the clutch though - anyone experienced this: only occurs after starting up for the first time in the day, the clutch pedal will stick half way down after changing gear for the first time, resulting in the biting point engaging only when my foot is rammed to the floor. On one occasion it even became difficult to get the clutch to disengage to change gear.
I've tried pumping it / giving it a kick and pulling it back to the usual resting position, but as soon as you press it again it resumes this 'half way down' position. The only quick fix I've found is switching the engine off (whilst stationary that is!) and giving the pedal a boot, then it seems to go back to the normal place and doesn't play up after that.
Love driving them, don't love it when I don't know what's up with them .... anyone got any clues? Is it as simple as a slack cable and likely to be fixed as part of the Alfa warranty?
