Last night I was driving some friends home, so I had a full car. I was going up a road that I know very well and it has those speed bumps that don't extend fully across the road to let ambulances through easily. Well I never normally have a problem in the 159, but I'm guessing a full/heavy car and hitting it at a funny angle changed that. I now need a new wheel since it buckled one.
Reason 2 why I am really angry at my local council today. Reason 1 is that they thought it would be a good idea to plant, and then cut regularly with chain saws, thorn bushes next to the car park. So there are now thorns all over the car parking spaces and the adjacent road.
But I digress...
I got what I thought was a puncture at work today but after closer inspection at the tyre place, it was a leak from the buckle rather than a puncture. They have temporarily patched it with black gunk, for want of a better word. But it needs fixing and if Alfa Aid's attempt tomorrow doesn't succeed then I'll need a replacement.
I'm new to finding spares etc. and am finding it difficult to locate any wheels to match. Can anyone guide me to a good place to find any? eBay is almost all other brand's wheels that fit a 159.
I specifically need one used 17' multispoke 7.5J H2 wheel. Part number 50501529
The quote for a new one from Alfa was nearly £500, I didn't know whether to laugh or cry.
Thank you for any advice, Steel.
