As far as I'm aware, it's not a "problem" per se, rather that Alfa choose to set up the car out of the factory with a relatively large amount of 'toe-in' (I think), and whilst this gives the handling characteristics that Alfa required, it can be detrimental to tyre wear (particularly on the inside edge of the tyre). A number of people have changed this to a slightly more 'parallel' alignment to get a better compromise between handling and wear.
I haven't had a hunter alignment done myself, as I'm told that this had been done by the previous owner. The handling characteristics seem fine, and the tyres seem to be wearing evenly, which support this. I'll see if I can dig out a receipt with the final figures for my car.
Edit: as far as I know the same thing applies for Lusso/Turismo as for TI, but the 'more appropriate' settings are different.
