Decision made, car bought, sat in car park
I wouldn't bother. It doesn't sound enhanced enough for the money. For that money, Alfatune do a remap and new exhaust for the 2.2 and there are other places that do them too and they sound superior to the S 2.2 sound.
I saw a video of Gus' pipes for the 2.2 on youtube and they sound great, not sure if they are a little too loud though, it's not the soundtrack I'm looking for, the stock 2.2 is almost inaudible from within the cabin but on the flip side I don't want the exhaust the throb and vibrate through the cabin either. Also aesthetically the Alfatune pipes I saw on the car on youtube stuck out too far, that would REALLY bug me.
I suppose I really should have driven the Brera S that was down at Veloces when I bought mine when I had the opportunity
I'm not even sure whether I really want a loud exhaust, there's something about the car that makes me feel its fine as it is.
Decisions, decisions but I wont be changing anything for some time yet, if anything I'll probably go for the remap first though to get shut of that hesitation as it can be quite annoying on steep hills and junctions.
They ARE nice, but I will sell mine. They gave me a nice burble on my TBI engine, and the "scream" under pressure is at perfect volume, but the natural "rasp" of a non-turbo engine is absent. Have used them for about 3000 km. They will be i Leicester within two weeks.
PM me if interested!
Lets see how the next few weeks go, I only bought the car on Wednesday
