Breakdown (Clutch Issue)

Hi All,

Well at 2.5 years old & approx. 48,000mls, 'we' broke down today - The clutch peddle just disappeared completely ??

Luckily within 2-mins of getting out of the car a AA van pulled up and insisted on moving me from the "dangerous position i was in" (parked in Lane 1 of a dual carriageway) to a local garage forecourt approx. 1/2ml away - I had not even called them at this point !

On inspection, the pin holding the peddle to the clutch system had come out, so 30-seconds later all fixed & it only cost me the price of the coffee he was going to buy himself.

Have had the cylinder replaced due to a low / sticking peddle around 6-months ago, but anyone know if this latest failure is common, is there a mod?
