Received the bulbs from HK. QC appears to be lacking. One has slightly shorter contacts and struggles to make a decent connection with the holder. The shorter bulb is slightly duller and therefore not an exact colour match. The longer bulb is brighter and a good match to my hids and no canbus errors. Ive emailed the seller for a replacement set.

what supplier did you use? The Honk Kong one? Im having a bit of trouble getting refund / replacement? I've found a UK seller on ebay for a few pennies more which is now supplying the same led sides so if there are any issues refunds / replacements should be hassle free!!!

Sorry this is the first time I've been on the forum for a while!! I did use the Hong Konng supplier for mine but as I didn't have an issue with them I didn't need to contact them but sorry to hear you've had issues glad to hear you got it sorted with another supplier though

In case anyone else is wavering, some feedback for folks

I bought the above LEDS from HK and they arrived today just a few days, and at this time of year took max ten minutes to fit to my brera, 2 mins of that was trying to find a Woolley hat. Never done it before, and dark, so easy peasey. They work, not issues yet trouble is my standard dip lamps look very silly now

Looks like I need to change these now....typical.

One Q. anyone had any problems with MOT?

Cheers for hard work put in to thread, really appreciated. Bella says thanks too

and the feedback.....

They didn't actually fit into the light housing, bummer. Also I now have a loose bulb floating around where the cover goes, can't see it or feel where it's gone....bloomin' annoying!

Karl, That's odd, one of mine was a tight fit, I will have to be careful when I remove it so it doesn't drop inside the the bezel / lamp. Are they exactly the ones advertised on link in the first post under Option 1? Could you carefully ease the hole with some sand paper 'rolled' up in to a tube. You should be able to vacuum out any stuff that falls inside.....

Yup, they are the ones that 159_kid said he had ordered. Thanks for the suggestion, probably was a silly idea trying to do it in the rain, never fun doing any job on the Alfa in the rain, will crack the vacuum out when the weather clears up.

How do yours look?

I wondered when one of you would run into this issue

They look tight from the pics and the headlight mouldings are not 100% exact every time so some might have just a little bit of extra plastic around the hole that causes this. Also the casting process for the metal in the bulbs will be subject to minimal QA so i expect both the bulb and the housing will vary by a few microns from time to time and in some cases cause this issue.

For the most part this looks like a good bulb though

One of the hk bulbs i ordered had shorter connectors and therefore would not sit in the bulb holder correctly. Heres a picof the difference in bulbs. The one with a row of resistors inbetween the connectors fits nice and snugg the other is loose. Do you have the line of resistors on the dodgy bulb?

I have 2 (albeit one rolling around in the car) of the ones on the left, with the resistors.

Mine are doing ok, had a flicker of error message once today, but been on several journeys and not seen it again. I only had my iPhone, so pictures not great, but here goes (not posted piccies here before).

and one with new +30 Xenon Halfords 55w Halogens

Both of the bulbs I got were the same style/shape, in 159_kid's photo (above) there are two different kinds. I think mine are the same as the one on the left in the picture.

Yep, both of mine developed a blueish tinge after a week or so as well.
