Anyone got a link to working Option 2 led sidelights....option 1 a bit too dim in the daylight....but worked a treat illuminating my rear number plate.

I tried these but getting a canbus error

+1 on the 24's ... Had them on for about 18 months now with no problems, just need to reduce the diameter as 159_kid rightly said

So....Ive had a refund on my LEDs and Im guessing due to the cost of posting back to china the seller hasnt requested them back, so Ive got 2 free but unuesable LED lights!

Im not much of an electronics wiz unfortunately but what size resistors would need to be soldered (and where) to make them work without the error message?

Luckily by 14 yr old daughter is a bit of a wiz on the soldering iron cos im blind and hopeless with all things electronic!

Ok, so I don't know if it's only me having this issue but I have the Option 1 sidelights in the Brera and after about 1 month the left hand side light went, I think that due to the heat that they were producing a resistor came off or something. Anyway I rang the supplier and they sent me out a new bulb to replace this which I have now fitted. Today whilst driving I got the message that the right hand bulb now needs to be checked and it is showing the same signs as the last one! Anyone else had any problems with the Option 1 bulbs??

Mine did eventually fail due to component coming loose but definitely much longer than a month. Been running opt 3's for 12 mnths now with no issues.

I might have to look at getting some others. I can't be replacing these every month!

It is probably worth revisiting the options available now as LED technology has improved with COB & better priced CREE units available.

If anyone tries new ones and they work out or not post your results here and I will update the first post with new options as they come up.

I've been offered a refund on my option 1 bulbs now so I'll be looking for some more options.

Interested to hear your opinion on the bulbs Andy. My 24's look very blue compared to the 6k hids I installed so would prefer whiter side lights

Ok so these arrived today and after a bit of a nightmare whereby one of the units fell into the main beam unit, I'm happy with the light output (the pictures make it look a lot bluer/purpler then they actually are) and they seem to match my 6K HIDs quite well. The only problem I fear is that in my haste to order them I haven't checked that they were CANBUS free and sure enough when I start the car I get a quick warning that I need to check the lights but it then goes off can anyone shed some light??

Light check circuit is configured to see incandescent bulbs.
LED are seen as a faulty bulb.

They stick a resistor in the package to make it CANBus "compatible".

Thanks, I think I'm right in thinking I've now just bought some useless LEDs haha!

No, you can get an in-line canbus canceller for T10's http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2-x-T10-50...item4d0da24a7f

They do look quite blue in the pic... maybe a night time pic against your HID's would be better?

These are labelled as canbus friendly COB led's ebay link

Would it be usual if they weren't CANBus friendly that the wanting light would go off after a while?!?
