I believe V-Power has more detergents added, and also has a slightly different chemical compund from 'normal' diesel, with a portion of GTL (gas-to-liquid).
It's actuallty less calorific than normal diesel (hence why it might feel sluggish to start) but ignites easier, meaning once the ECU has adjusted, you should get more bang for your buck. That's the theory anyway.
Following on from the BG244 treatment I'm running through at the moment, I'm going to start using V-Power as a trial, instead of 'normal' disel, with the odd tank of supermarket gunk.
