159 tbi oil / filter change..

Hi, Am going to treat my 159 to an oil and filter change, this should be simple enough but are there any fiendish Alfa pitfalls to look out for ? It's a 1750 Turbo model. Any suggestions please ?

Oil capacity is actually 5.4 litres, not 5 litres as it says in the manual (at least the one I had).

First it's hunt the filter (it's behind the engine).
Tray has to come off.

Second, you might find the dealer can do it cheaper.

it is behind the engine (passenger side on LHD cars), just above the drive-shaft.

pig to get to (only from below) and makes huge mess when changing.

Otherwise, simple job to do.
