That leaves dealers in a tricky situation with only 2 types to sell over the next year.
Good job they're both lovely little cars!
You're right, I wouldn't want to be an Alfa dealer right now. I've had my 159 just over 3 years, and am currently looking for a replacement. It's been a pleasure to own and drive, in most respects the nicest car I've had, very few problems, the only significant one the fault of the dealer rather than Alfa, but what can I replace it with? The Mito is too small, so that's out. I've tried a Giulietta, and while it's OK, it's under-specced and overpriced for what it offers, if I wanted something that size, I'd probably buy a Golf. It's no good going back to Meridien for a replacement, they haven't got anything to offer, so what else is there that would satisfy my (motoring) urges? Saab are too risky, and I'm not turned on by BMWs, so top of the list, almost the only car on it in fact, is a Mercedes CLK. It's not comparable to a 159, but it has other strengths, and I don't doubt I'll be perfectly happy with it. When the time comes for another change, maybe 2014, I'll certainly be looking at a Giulia, but right now, because of their strange model policy and lack of choice, I'll almost certainly be driving behind a three-pointed star for the next three years, feeling that I've been abandoned by Alfa. If I buy an MB, can I still post on this forum?
