Re the comments about the Giulia name...
Think it's spot on. Sounds too much like Julia? Errr - that's cos it sounds exactly like Julia. Sort of in the same way that Giulietta sounds like Juliet(ta).
But- seems to me like Alfa has lost the plot. A depressingly, but understandably, high number of people on here with no Alfa option for a new car. I've had sensible Alfa "upgrades" from my first Sud 1.2 Ti to 1.5 Ti QV, sprint, 33, 75 V6, 164 QV, change of direction with GTV, 156 GTA, Brera V6Q4-- but now what? Thought about nicely specced 159- but not keen on opting for something that is clearly regarded as obsolete; don't really like the Giulietta (nowhere for my left foot, don't like the dash etc)... so what next? Coupled with the fact that my car has been with the dealer since October- still waiting for a propshaft. So- S3? 3.0 TDi quattro A4? BMW? Merc? Impressive but dull? Older 911? less dull but I'm scared it will cost a fortune to run. Haven't a clue what to do!
Sud 1.3Ti - Sprint - Giulietta - Sud 1.5Ti QV - 33 1.5QV - 75 3.0 6V Veloce - 164 3.0 QV - GTV - 156 GTA - Brera 3.2 Q4 - Spider 3.2 - Brera 3.2 S (and a few Fiats and a Lancia!)
