I took everything out; rear tray (found a clip broken), the wheel well cover, styrene tray, both styrene side sections, tool tray, and the
I took it for a run up the road, no more squeaking from the rear, picked up an exhaust bumping noise now !! but that's easy to fix
observations: (1) left hand panel over the sub woofer had a noise, placed a section of foam (temporary) behind panel, this stopped the noise, (2) broken rear tray clip allows tray to lift, and rub (squeak) on rear offside pillar material, evident by black scuff marks (3) rear tray locating rubber near pillar also found to be broken, allowing tray to move around.
With all that stuff out, I swear it goes faster, could amount to a touch over 50kg, another thread.
Ordered new tray clip, repaired (superglued) locating rubber, carefully reinstated the 50kgs worth as found, but with black felt tape on rubbing points this time.
result, noises in the doors !!
