Thanks for that, although sounds a bit scary at full chat!!
Think I might get powerflow to knock up a centre pipe and see how it sounds with my standard prodrive back boxes.
The noise of mine was far from intrusive.. Given how well the cars are sound-proofed, I think you'd need to hack the exhaust off at the manifolds for it to become too annoying
Sounds like a good plan
Better do it that way than have a silenced section made up and then regret not going without the silencer.
I've got a Vortex on my 2.2 and I love it. It improved the throttle response, torque and economy (compared to previous stainless catback system from Torque Exhausts which was too loud). With that and a few other choice mods, the car goes like stink
Oddly enough it was Torque who removed my silencer..
I didn't know you had the centre removed, Chris. It sounded great
Not too loud. But loud.
Chris, what did you do with your car in the end? Has it been scrapped?
I only had it done at the start of the year so I don't think you heard it
My Brera was written off and sent to salvage. I'll get some photos up of its replacement soon
Interesting, what did you pay? My Local Powerflow place wants £340 for the unsilenced stainless centre pipe which I thought was steep.
Seems a little steep, especially considering the Supersprint comes in at £220.
Torque Exhausts quoted just over £200 (if memory serves) for an unsilenced centre section, although they recommended just removing the silencer if that's all I wanted, as there was little to be gained from replacing the whole section.
