I've got a II Spider, bought the SwissVax Opaque cleaner and wax to look after it, depending upon how you like your cars (i'm OCD anal about it being clean) it does take more looking after in that it needs to be washed and properly dried more often to stop streaks/stains and you do need to use the correct cleaners, I take a lot more care when doing glass/mirrors and avoid drips and even the tyres i use a non silicone treatment to stop it spraying onto bodywork. chem guys maxi suds wash is another option and i use a ph neautral snow foam at times
Finger marks do show up but i have a bottle of chemical guys matte detailler in the boot and a cloth, quick wipe down if you spot a mark or bird dropping and its as new.
Stone chips might be a problem, I've got some clear protector on the bonnet and nose but its glossy, there is a 3M matt but so far I've only found one place that fits it
Alfa say touch up isnt available but I managed to get a company to do me a colour matched small bottle, its gloss but its easy to add a matt/satin lacquer to dull it back down on the one small chip i touched up.
Mine lives in a garage and I don't use it as a day to day car, not sure I'd want to do so but thats more me than the paint, I just like my car looked after. if you accept that it will get water stains and might take a bit more looking after you'll be OK
oh, I should add that I bought it as an ex demo and there are 3 or 4 what look like water stains under the door mirror, I came to conclusion dealer had washed it with a wax based wash and waxy water had dripped from the closed mirror onto the door staining it. Currently waiting for dealer to sort this out as it seems obvious it hadn't been washed with the correct products.
