Another 1.9 JTDm issue concerning hesitation
My 159 1.9 JTDm 8v worked ok before I changed the EGR valve, the MAP sensor and cleaned the throttle body. Donít ask me why I changed all this, the car worked fine before. Now I have few/many short hesitations between 1,600 Ė 3,000 RPM. It works ok on idle and when I floor it, but if I donít accelerate hard it starts to cut off few times before it reaches high revs. I also have a felling it is somehow sluggish. The MAP sensor and the throttle body were really clogged.
When I disconnect the MAF sensor the hesitation goes away. I have tried with a new MAF, but it is the same as with the old one. So MAF isnít the culprit. I have also disconnected the battery for few hours, but it is always the same.
I will install restrictive gaskets on Saturday and see what will happen. The MAF issue puzzles me... The intake manifold is the original one from 2006, but I believe it doesn't make a problem as the car worked fine before. Any idea what to do?
Many thanks in advance.
