...and all my fuel bills/cat maintenance go through my books so it's not all bad.
Having canvassed the salesmen at my local dealers, ALL of them have told me to steer clear of the 2.2!
Graham P has a long thread on how perfect the 3.2 is so maybe...............................
I thought your fuel must be going through a company
Really, they were that down about a 2.2? Is that because they're making no profit on them with brand new Brera 2.2s available for £17K by any chance?!
But seriously, they have trouble selling brand new 2.2s now that the 1750 Tbi is out, there is a surfeit of unsold brand new 2.2s so you can get one cheap...
Maybe the 1750 Tbi for you if you're buying new? I don't know if you're going to like it, people complain that it doesn't sound like a petrol Alfa (too quiet). Why not try it out?
40,000 miles a year in a 3.2... well if we are generous and say you are going to get 17mpg average from it (possibly an optimistic estimate), you are looking at:
40,000 / 17mpg = 2353 gallons a year, which is 10,705 litres, which is £15,000 a year if petrol doesn't go up!!
