Presumably you get it when the traction control has to do something?

I like how the rear wiper comes on if you already had the front wipers on, when going into reverse.

When starting it doesn't matter which you do first, start button or key.

I never knew that! Everytime I have to brake hard I always hit the hazard button myself! One less thing to think of when someone infront of me slams on!

my cruise control wont work !!untill the temp gauge gets to temperature each morning! then agter 5 or 6 miles it works ! what a great feature! and also when you park up and want to listen to the radio when you stop the engine using the button it switches everything off ! so you have to press start again with out the clutch to turn it back on then all the engine lights come on the dash evern though you dont want to drive anywhere. is there a way to just turn accessories on like normal cars on first click ?? or is this another alfaisum? i do love the car!

Yes just press the "on" button on the radio with the key still in and it will come back on for about 20mins but I think you can alter the duration it stays on.

My cruise control works as soon as I start the car, although I have to be in at least 4th gear doing 30mph.
My cd player stays on after I turn the engine off and remove the key, I have to turn it off on the off button, bug I have put my own aftermarket headunit in.

You can have optional black/anthracite Ti alloys if you just don't wash them for about 3 weeks, actually looked pretty badass, had to wash them though..

The little button under the rear-view mirror dims it so rear view lights arent a pain. Took me a while to figure that out Also at night a red dim light highlights the gearbox area like german vehicles

Salute, Giordano.

The red light that shines down on centre console is a mood light, but I always associate red with anger! Haha

As for the wheels, they look cool until someone goes and rubs some of the muck off sayin "clean your wheels!" happens to me in work when I can't be bothered to was car! Haha

Just realised my car has a hill hold system. At first I thought it was dodgy breaks but on a steep (ish) hill the car will hold for a second before you engage a gear and pull away - I think it is a nice feature to stop you needing to do clutch holds etc. Looking at the manual it says it engages at +/- 6% hills

This car seems to have an endless list of quite handy little features that I had no idea about

New to the 159 so you will just have to forgive me. Today discovered the button that electrically folds the door mirrors. My 5yo granddaughter and I giggled 'til the cows came home. j

I noticed on my 159sw that if you're in reverse gear and push your wiper stalk up both front and rear wipers will come on shortly. Perfect for reversing off the drive on a misty morning.

Salute, Giordano.
you have a button under the rearview mirror?

Also, what's this thing of the emergency lights coming on when braking steeply? Could it be that i don't have it on my Brera?

Also, the dim goes back to normal view if you engage reverse.

don't think all models have the self-dimming rear view mirror - maybe just lusso & ti?

most people probably already know this but if you give your hadlights a flash before you get out of the car with the ignition off it'll give you your 'follow me home' lights for 30 secs

When changing your wing mirrors you have a stalk to choose left, right, middle, this needs to be in the left position when you select reverse (handbook says Right), you will notice the passenger side wing mirror will point towards the floor, quite useful. It can be problematic though! Bit of a design fault really....most of the time when you reverse it's because you're parking and likely to be getting out of the car soon. The mirror only readjusts to it's normal position after about 30 seconds after disengaging reverse...by this time I have already switched the engine off and left the car....you have to then adjust the mirror manually next time you get in the car.
You need not manually adjust the mirror, just press the memory seat button of your choice and the mirror will be back to its rightful position. Works only at low speed though.

the mirror positioning actually works with the gear position: try and put it in first gear with the engine on and it will come back to its position.

The interesting with these features is that sometimes they work, sometimes they don't. I really think that my car has a soul hehehe
