1750 TBi - turbo problem
Yesterday I had a strange problem with turbo on my 1750 TBi. Cruising on 6th gear at about 2000rpm, I pressed the accelerator a bit more (not full throttle). I heard a silent "blow off" sound and the engine stopped pulling. I saw only 0.6 bar on the dial and I could press the accelerator all the way to the floor (full throttle), but it still stayed at 0.6 bar and didn't pull. Once I released the accelerator for a second and pressed it again, all worked as it should, i.e. pressure 1.2 bar and the car pulled nicely. This happened for a second time, so I would like to figure out what's the problem. Outside temperature round 20 degC, engine warm after about 8 kilometers of drive. There is no warning light on the dashboard. There is only 20 000 km on the engine, 2.5 years old (out of warranty).
Should I forget it as it might be some "bug" in the software of the ECU that will appear once in a while? Or is it anything mechanical that I could let check in the garage?
