Have I just experienced the legendary bad Alfa dealer service ???
Picked my new (too me) car up last Saturday - noticed over the weekend that the clutch didn't feel right - it wasn't returning fully and was making a well 'farty' noise when you pressed it.
Took the car in too my local dealer on Monday and the technician had a look at it and diagnosed a faulty master cylinder on the clutch...
Called the garage who I bought the car from who confirmed they would sort out the cost under their warranty so no worries there but not a great start to Alfa ownership...
Booked it in for Friday (took the day of work) and dropped it off this morning 8.30 at the same local dealer.
The girl on reception gave me the sheet to sign and it said 'Investigate clutch pedal' so I said no thats been done its having a master cylinder.....
Off I go - no courtesy car and a 4 mile walk home (which I didn't mind)
So it gets to 4.30 and I've heard nothing from them - i call them and the chap says 'yes we have looked at it and it needs a master cylinder, it won't be ready until Wednesday or Thursday next week !!!!!!!!!!!!"
They knew that since Monday !!!!!!!!!
Arrggghhhh - is that what I have got to expect whilst owning an Alfa ?
