There is so much I would like to say about your reply but I’m not doing to. This is a forum about cars not people.
What I will say to everyone on the forum is that I have bought many cars over the years from major auction houses, three of which had no recorded history but on close inspection in a workshop, they had received a lot of accident repair work. These did come from well known hire companies and lease companies, (not on documentation). THERE WAS ABSOLUTELY NOTHING WRONG WITH THEM, and they all gave me good reliable service well over 100K on the clock.
My current Alfa 159 has no accident history and comes from a lease company, but it is clear after owning it for 6 months that it has had a boot and rear quarter repair at sometime. But the car is great and after an initial hiccup of fuel pipe blowing off the filter, it has covered 8K faultless miles and I have no reason to think it won’t continue.
I will also say from experience that two cars I looked at on E-bay last year (before the auctions ended), were not as described. This I pointed out to the sellers. I later watched the auctions finish. Both cars were sold but returned within days with the classic “re-listed due to time waster”
Whatever car you are looking at, check as much history as you can and inspect as much as you can. Take someone who Knows about cars. At the end of the day it’s your decision, your purchase and your gut feeling.
