A little help please?
I have only recently purchased my Alfa 159 tdi estate. It is the 2.4 diesel. Since February it has been to the dealer five times.
The issue I am facing, is when driving on the motor way at 70 mph, the car starts to judder. Nothing violent, but you can feel a constant lurching, as if fuel starvation is occurring. It clears after ten miles or so, but becomes a regular event. I have been along the "blockage" in the exhaust system etc (run it for 10 plus miles at constant speed, so the rubbish will be burnt off @ 1,000 degrees, as advised by the dealer) and still nothing seems to cure this issue. Now the dealer reckons it may be a valve issue, which has happened on the 2.4 diesel engine before.
Has anyone else experienced this? Apologies if the description is vague, but my mechanical skills are very, very limited.
