Without wishing to sound like a doom monger, I would just point out the obvious which is the more you modify it the more likely you are to be stopped by a Traffic Officer. The number plate alone is like putting a falshing neon light on top of the car saying "Stop Me" in certain parts of the country though, I do have to say that whenever I visit my relatives up in the Midlands, I am amazed at the amount of illegal number plates on the road which would just not be tolerated down here so, you will probably get away with it for now.
Don't forget, a number of Traffic Officers are qualified Vehicle Examiners, and quite often there is a Tint testing kit in the car.
Illegal Number plate, any one of 13 offences, non endorsable £60 fixed penalty.
Illegal Window tints, non endorsable £30 fixed penalty plus if able down here they will rip some of it off before they let you drive it away or else give you a VDRS for the car requiring it to be tested.
Headlights, if spotted (usually the wobbling unstable aftermarket HID gives it away as you drive along), also a non endorsable £30 fixed penalty, oooh lets see, failure to maintain headlights to prevent dazzle, filament not e-marked or maybe misuse of headlights!
There are several offences for which you could get a ticket so, in summary, if stopped you could be looking at up to £120 in fines plus driving away with your front tints in tatters and a VDRS on your car, which will cost again.
You have to be lucky every time you take your car out on the road, the Traffic Officer only has to be lucky once, maybe not today, maybe not next week but......
