I very nearly bought a QV. Loved the Multiair engine. I then found a Prodrive 2.2 Brera S for much less ££ than a new Cloverleaf. The engine in the Brera S still has minor hesitation, but you learn to drive around the black spot in the engine and slightly long initial pedal travel to get going. I am going to try different fuel next fill up and maybe an Angel-tuning re-map which comes highly regarded. My car has the Mango 4 mod air box which helps apparently, so may be worth looking out for.
Regards running costs, you may be paying more for tax, but servicing is about the same as the Cloverleaf(24mths or 18kmiles) and my economy is 30mpg over last 900miles with lots of fun included. Also, the Brera S will be sought after in a couple of years I think.
Forgot to mention the mind boggling handling!! this can really corner beautifully.
