Brera Oil Filter

Hi guys

Just bought a replacement filter for the 2.2 Brera to do my oil change this weekend and noticed it did not come with a replacement rubber o-ring as most paper filters do.

Is this correct? Whilst I have replaced loads of filters in the past, I have never done a filter on the Brera.

Although the eLearn manual says it must be replaced each time,it is never available as a separate item from my Alfa/Fiat dealers. You have to buy the whole cap.
I always go to my local Vauxhall dealer who can supply it,although at a price-last month I paid 7.20!!! I asked the Vauxhall mechanics if they always replace the green O-ring when doing an oil change as they look perfectly re-usable to me.They said they did.I sometimes buy the filter and sump plug seal from them, too.
