Spider roof hood emergency cable
Thanks windandwave for this.
I've had a few problems with my roof in 18 months of ownership. Last night I had the same issue with the roof completing 95% of its cycle when closing but then springing up about 10mm at the last second. When opening the driver's door the window falls an inch or so in the normal manner but will not then pop back up.
I had to leave it like this overnight (10mm gap at the rear and gap at the top of the door) and so used the emergency key to lock-up and thus prevent the alarm possibly being triggered in the middle of the night.
Anyway, today I've had a play with the emergency cable in the storage box behind the driver's seat. I've found that the cable has a tendency to spring back out when the lid of the storage box is closed, so I've pushed it all the way in and left the lid up, and hey presto, the roof has now fully closed and with probably the tightest seal at the rear since I've owned the car. And no problems with the door windows now.
I hope this has cured it but only time will tell of course!
