I have a new to me 159 SW Q4 V6 for a week now, and very happy with it.
Done my basic first jobs - address any underneath surface rust , lubricate all suspension bushes, annoy future mechanics by waxoiling arches and obvious recesses etc etc
Next up over the summer is attend to performance issues.
Having read the threads I have gone for the AD drop in filter. I will go to JJB (in York - and local to me) to remap but only after dealing with the exhaust. Which brings me to the real focus of this post.
The 4.5 year old exhaust is well worn in places and will need replacing at some point, so I am thinking the best option is go for stainless replacement, improve the engine audio (not full sport boom) and liberate some BHP (especially as it will be remapped afterwards).
I have searched the forum for information about Stainless cat back exhausts, and found little information on good sources for quality systems for the GM based V6. Alfaholic1001 on the http://www.alfaowner.com/Forum/alfa-...or-3-2s-2.html
thread has had AD build one for his Brera Q4. Others have used MIJ (Walsall) for 156 V6s. Spent a few hours searching around for alternatives and the Gazzella Racing listed options look relatively expensive given that they dont include fitting. Any one got any pointers on this (and who/what to avoid).
Ciao a tutti
