brera buying advice
having spent the last few weeks looking for a brera,
I had settled on the 2.4 as i cover a fair amount of miles every year the bigger petrol 3.2engine is not an option for me.
Although i decided last minute to try the 2.2 petrol model yesterday, having got to know my dealer a little he kindly lent me one for the day..
The car had covered 44,000 miles 2006 model and didn't demonstrate any signs of ageing , solid build quality no rattles or complaints internally. seemed to be a good example with fsh etc
After a days driving i found the 2.2 brera to be a good all round tourer, but when those moments arise when you really need abit of power i felt the 2.2 just didn't have any available. On various overtakes i had my heart beating as the car just wouldnt pull in 2nd 3rd or 4th.
Which left me questioning if the 2.4 diesel is more powerful bhp and delivers more mpg why choose the petrol model ??
I certainly far enjoyed the driving experince in the diesel the difference in torque beetween the diesel and petrol engine is massive, the 2.2 petrol just felt hugely lacking in power. ( although sounded fantastic ).
which leads me to ask for all of those that have fallen in love and purchased the 2.2 petrol model what was it that attracted you so much ???
