To my knowledge steffoo is the only one on here who's got a 1750 Brera.
(A Ti, probably the definitive all round Brera, but which isn't available in the UK.)
Depending on what you are looking for, do not dismiss the 2.2 so quickly.
It is a better motorway cruiser than the 1750.
And with a remap, air intake and maybe exhaust mods it is a very sweet
engine capable of outputting ~200BHP. (as some on here will attest.)
And even with the timing trickery Alfa put into the 1750 there can still a
hint of the dreaded lag occasionally.
But the 1750 is better in town and more blast-able on A/B roads.
Both engines have their + and -. But as they are not huge lumps of cast
iron bolted to the nose they share one common trait in that they
both make the Brera more agile than the DERV.
