I'm feeing pretty lousy, after my clutch and dmf went early I panicked and decided my bella had to go ... guess I have just lost confidence
I'm worried that the gearbox is a when not if this side of a cambelt service, or steering rack; both expensive jobs. I'm just out of 4th year warranty, what with the cost of the warranty, tyres and 30 mpg consumption for me its its just not worth it for the relatively modest although enjoyable performance. I wouldnt contemplate keeping the car without the remap and dpf being done, as its it just too slow (heavy)
I absolutely love this car but common sense had to prevail ... when alfa build a genuinely quick super hot hatch or a Jag xj fast tourer as beautiful as the brera i will be in the queue.
Prior to the clutch car has been faultless for 18 months and run like a dream, IMO these are reliable well built cars but they have their mechanical limits ... I think I'm on borrowed time with mine, though in reality will probably run for years now with no probs!
I got 9,750 part exed against a civic type R GT; Brera's are 'behind book' at mo so was OK with that. I will still look in from time to time its been great fun. If anyone wants the plate
