159 New box or rebuild ?

Just had it confirmed that I have bearings going in the gearbox of my 159 jtd SW.
Just wondered if anyone has a take on whether its best to go for a new exchange box or get a garage to repair the original. Initially it appears to be more expensive to go for the new box but there are obviously warranty issues with a rebuild as exchange boxes normally have a guarantee.

Also anyone got a take on where to go other than an Alfa main dealer(would need to remortgage for that ! ). Have heard Jamie Porter is good at the Alfa workshop Royston but thats still 50 miles away as I am in S London.

Also if I replace the clutch should I go the whole hog and do the Dual Mass Flywheel too? Cars done 88k. Should this have gone at 88K ?

Grateful for any help
