Idea ASR/VDC comes on going downhill

On my journey home I have to stop for a left hand turn, then down a hill. Virtually every time the asr/vdc ( yellow tyre flashes on display) cuts in and kills the power and applies the left side brakes. It does not do this on the flat nor when I floor it above 40 going downhill or uphill. I did wonder if there was oil on the road as it was always the same spot on my journey and has not happened elesewhere. I even got out and checked, its not oil. Any clues on what to check?

I also have a noise that sounds like something touching at low speed. I don't think its linked. I think it is due to an inept mechanic changing the steering rack and breaking the plastic sub floor, half the bolts missing, and supports snapped. Installing foam has changed the sound so failry sure its that but not sure.

I live in Aberdeen and there is no Alfa dealer anymore bar 100 odd miles away. car is a q4 brera (haven't changed my profile since my 147)

I get exactly the same on a left hand turn/hill as well.

It's normal.

(for an Alfa)
