I just can't do it...

...that is, sell my Brera.

Bit of background: I can't seem to hold onto any car for longer than a year or so, barring a couple which I had for 2 years. Since I've had the Brera for a year, the itch to replace it returned. Given the current state of fuel prices and my extended commute, I decided that I had to sell it (I always manage to convince myself that the change is sensible ). This time, the reason was that I "needed" a more economical car.

However, after I put my ad up in the Classifieds and on Pistonheads 3 days ago, the reality of the situation sank in. I love being in the car, I love the reaction and comments it gets from others (I always thought that Brera owners exaggerated about this, but it is so true!) and it just feels good owning such a beautiful car. Yes, it would be cheaper to buy something diesely, but unless a change is enforced, I'm going to hang on to this piece of automotive art until I can chop it in for a 2.0 JTDm!

Normally, I'm quite excited about the whole process of buying/selling my cars. This is the first time ever I've put a car up for sale and changed my mind - it's a new feeling for me and a real eye-opener. Am I now a true Alfisti??

Thanks for listening - most of my friends just wouldn't understand.

P.S. Closed my ad in the classifieds, but it's still there marked as 'SOLD!' Any ideas on how to remove the listing altogether? ( I bet I've missed something really basic... )

Yup. It sucks being Brera-less.

Bloke made a comment about liking Alfas when I turned
up in the 159 last night at a restaurant.
But all I could think was, pity I wasn't in the Brera...
