The previous owner of my car had it re-mapped by Angel Tuning. It has retained the EGR valve and DPF. It performs very well without turbo lag and MPG is typically 32 mpg commuting and 38 ish mpg on longer runs. I haven't noticed any problems with the DPF clogging yet, and the previous owner said he'd never had any problems with the DPF.
I have contacted Angel Tuning to see if they could inform me what BHP and torque the car was "mapped to?" They replied saying it would be increaded by"40bhp / 70lb ft making mine 250bhp 365ft/lbs torque. (I realise this is only an estimate).
I am considering having a DPF/EGR delete done by ALFA TUNE or one of their associates, but presumably would benefit only by increased MPG and ensuring that the DPF/ EGR cannot make trouble for me! Is it worth it, or have I just answered my own questions. Seems a shame to have to shell out so much when performance wise my car goes very well, as I assume the ECU will have to be totally re programmed?
Does anyone who has had the full conversion done know the estimated power output? If I was getting even better engine response that would be more tempting.
