Isn't reassuring when even Alfa Romeo don't know their own cars!
Following up on my previous post http://www.alfaowner.com/Forum/alfa-...rst-fault.html
the garage has just rung me to say the Alfa engineer had been to inspect the car and Alfa have said they are concerned as it's 3,000 miles over it's due service, er no it isn't!!
The service interval is 21,000 miles (it used to be 18k) and I always get it done early, it has 1,500 miles to go before it is due, there's even a sticker on the windscreen to tell me it's not due until 41+k miles and the cars have a service warning that comes up when it's less than a 1000 miles to the next service. Wrong excuse Alfa to try and get out of the warranty work.
Even worse is the bad news about my baby, apparently it's not just the timimg chain, it's the whole bottom end of the engine that's gone?? All I can say it runs smooth as a nut even when it's knackered.
So I'm now waiting a third engineers report (independent this time) so fingers crossed
