Vibration from back of my 159
Since I replaced my 17s for 18s (with Accelera tyres) I have noticed a vibration coming from the back of the car not unlike one of the tyres being out of balance. When the tyres were fitted the, the shop said one of the wheels was slightly buckled, but when I took it to Lepsons they checked the wheel and it was fine. Since then I've had the back wheels balanced twice by different tyre places and it's still there.
The tyres look in good condition and there are no bulges in the side walls or any other reason for the vibrations. there is no rattling from the back of the car so I'm not sure it's suspension related, plus the car has only done approx 26k.
I spoke to my contact in the tyre trade and he reckons that Acceleras can be difficult to balance correctly, he is normally very good but doesn't like dealing with this brand.
So what could be causing the vibrations? Don't get me wrong it's not major, but is annoying nevertheless, and something I'd like to get sorted. One other point is that the steering wheel on my car is slightly off centre which I'm hoping to get a 4 wheel alignment done soon to resolve this, could this have anything to do with it?
Thanks for any info...
My wife says that Alfas aren't a matter of life and death. I agreed, but then she went and bought one!!
