I was fleeced for £48 by the dismal Variava in Nottingham, after one of the local expert indies (Mansfield area) identified a Lamda sensor issue during a very through (and well priced!) oil and filter change.
Variava didn't replace the sensor (gave some excuse about it not being a fault); and tried to charge 1.7hr of labour for the ECU report - which confirmed the fault(!); Which I'm told, is a 5 minute job at most!
Local expert indie has kindly offered to interrogate the ECU again to show the fault is still active, and the fault counter value falling as expected - for free, and cannot comprehend Variava's apparent misdiagnosis.
I've had warranty problems escalated via ARUK (and subsequently used a different dealer); I may have to do the same again, and again complain about the dismal service CV offer.
Try another dealer...?
