Oil & Filter Change 2.4 Brera

I always like the change the oil and filter in between the normal dealer service. Is it an easy job on the 2.4 Brera? Are there any step by step guides available?

The oil & filter doesn't get changed at the normal dealer service; it's changed on condition monitored by the ECU. My 2.4 Brera is approaching 3 years and 25,000 miles and, to the best of my knowledge, still has the original oil and filter - I *will* have it changed at an upcoming annual inspection/service/MoT.

At the very least you would need something like FiatECUScan to reset the ECU, otherwise you risk getting premature warnings flashing up on the instrument panel telling you the oil needs changing.

Alfaless :( BMW!

Half hour labour to get Alfa to reset the "change oil" light - Happened to mine less than 5000 miles after full service including oil and filter - servicing dealer only reset the main service indicator not the oil one, they did offer to reset for me when I contacted them but the 600 mile round trip was gonna be a lot more than 40 at my local dealer.

Not changed the oil and filter myself on a Brera but surely straightforward.
