Some questions from a new Brera owner around diesel mpg

I have just bought a 2.4 Brera early 07, really enjoy the drive, I got the tracking done and put 43 PSI in the front and 40 in the back (I have Bridstones and they recommend putting a bit more air in for motorways). I have been driving a bit quick mainly on motor ways.

On the trip the first 150 miles I estimate the cost was about £25 (quarter of a tank) and the trip tells me I am getting 37 mpg so the trip looks pretty accurate when you do the calcs.

Now I expected better mpg for a diesel so I was thinking about getting the Diesel Particulate Filter by-pass, the Exhaust Gas Recirculation valve delete and the remap. My car had a new manifold fitted this year part number 55210197 apparently this makes a 210bhp car?

Any way because I do mainly motorway driving I am wondering if I should just go for the re map. My understanding is that if I later I go for the hardware mods then I will have to go for a further re map effectively paying twice.

So I am looking for evidence that I would benefit from the hardware mod bearing in mind I do mostly motorway driving?

Can any one help?

Also is there a view on where I should by my fuel?
