159 3.2 Q4 opportunity...should I go for it?

I just came back from looking at a potential buy: 2007 159 V6 Q4, 36.000km. Test drove it and definitely I can swear there's a tiger under the hood. Car looks good in general and price is a tad cheaper than a new bimmer 318i which is the most I can stretch to.

However, there are a few cabin rattles, doors don't feel as solid nor cabin as soundproof as that on the germans...but then again, I guess one buys Alfa's for other reasons mainly (design, looks, engine...) I would like to get rid of rattles though. I noticed suspension is much softer than my current bimmer, but with bad road conditions over here, that is a good thing I guess.

Since it is Q4 I wont miss RWD, I don't particularly like FWD any more so that is a big plus for me, however the fact that this car is a bit outdated and out of warranty worries me a bit...especially should something go wrong as spare parts are expensive for imports.

Anyways, the machine looks sooo appealing to me that I need a little push in order to jump into the Alfa world. I'm a big car detailer fan so I know I'll be polishing it all day and it should pay off I guess.
Any views/advice/flags will be welcome! Thanks for reading.

nike JUST DO IT !!

You'll spend your day driving about with a daft grin on your face . I can't say for the 159 but you can get the back end out with the Q4 if you really try, other than that it is very relaxing to drive and very firmly stuck to the road.

A quick scan throough the posts will highlight any particularly serious issues.
